What a dental implant actually is
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone where the root of a missing tooth used to be. Over a few months the bone fuses to it, a process called osseointegration, and it becomes as stable as a natural root. A custom crown is then fixed on top.

What to expect

Consultation and 3D imaging
Mr Aldaadaa assesses your mouth, bone and medical history, takes 3D scans where needed and gives you a written plan with itemised costs. £250, deducted from treatment.

Implant placement
A single visit under local anaesthetic, usually 45–90 minutes. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain and return to work the next day. A temporary tooth is fitted where appropriate.

Healing and final crown
The bone bonds to the implant over three to six months. Your permanent crown, bridge or denture is then made to match your natural teeth and fitted.
