Complaints procedure

Last updated September 2026

We aim to give every patient excellent care. If something has fallen short, we want to know, and we will treat your complaint seriously, courteously and promptly.

How to complain

Speak to any member of the team in person, call 020 7289 3120, or write to the Practice Manager at 142 Shirland Road, London W9 2BT or contact@shirlanddentalpractice.co.uk. Dr Hamssa Mansour, Principal Dentist, has overall responsibility for complaints.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your complaint within three working days.
  2. We investigate, which may include reviewing your records and speaking to the staff involved, and we will offer you a meeting if that would help.
  3. We aim to give you a full written response within ten working days. If it will take longer we will tell you why and keep you updated.
  4. Complaints are recorded and reviewed so we can learn from them.

If you are not satisfied

You may contact the Dental Complaints Service (for private dental care) at dcs.gdc-uk.org or 020 8253 0800; the General Dental Council at gdc-uk.org; or the Care Quality Commission at cqc.org.uk.
