If you have started looking into Invisalign in London you will have noticed that the quotes vary wildly. The same treatment can be advertised at £1,500 in one practice and £6,500 in another. Neither is necessarily wrong. Here is what is actually going on.
The main thing that decides the price: how much your teeth need to move
Invisalign is sold to dentists in tiers. Invisalign Express and Lite cover minor crowding or spacing of the front teeth using a limited number of aligners. Invisalign Moderate, Full and Comprehensive include unlimited aligners and refinements for more complex movement and bite correction. The more your teeth need to move, the higher the tier and the higher the lab fee, so a simple relapse case after previous braces will always cost less than treating a deep overbite.
What should be included
A fair Invisalign quote includes the consultation, the digital scan, all aligners and refinements for your tier, regular monitoring appointments, and retainers at the end. Whitening is sometimes included as an incentive. Watch for quotes that exclude retainers or refinements, which can add several hundred pounds later.
